League House La Jolla, CA Low income senior housing

About

The Social Service League of La Jolla was incorporated in 1947 as a California non-profit public benefit (501c3) corporation. It is dedicated to providing San Diego seniors with affordable, low income housing  at the League House in La Jolla. League House housing is for seniors who have lived and worked in the San Diego area and who cannot otherwise afford decent housing after retirement.

We provide low income seniors with secure, comfortable, independent, private apartments in a community living environment.  League House provides an on-site manger, and evening meals in a gracious dining facility. A spacious, comfortable lounge area is also available for residents to enjoy, along with group activities and parties.

The volunteers of Social Service League of La Jolla give countless hours of their time and talents in order to provide affordable senior housing. The Social Service League receives no monetary assistance from the government. The League is the only non-profit on the West coast to provide low-income housing to seniors without a government subsidy.

In addition to League House of La Jolla, Social Service League owns and operates Darlington House. Members of the Social Service League manage and host events at Darlington House and organize fundraisers throughout the year to further provide for funding support of League House.
